Robinho - “I will, but it will be not be fun”

August 31, 2008

Robinho called a personally called press conference on Sunday after being left out of next games squad

Chelsea have made it clear that they are willing to offer more than Real are currently paying him, Chelsea have made 2 bids so far both have been declined. Real wont sell Robinho until they can find a replacement.

“I have told Schuster and Pedja that I want to leave the club,” Robinho told reporters. “The coach thinks that he can have me back, but I am only thinking about playing for Chelsea.

“My agent has gone to the club a thousand times to speak to them and the club has not shown any interest in keeping me.

“Now that the club have failed to sign anyone else, suddenly they want me to stay.”

The one other option Robinho has left if a deal cannot be worked out is buying out his contract. But with the price of that move costing €50m Chelsea are considering there options. But I am sure they will be able to afford it, the owner of Chelsea (Roman Abramovich) is a billionaire.

If Robinho cannot come to a deal with Real he has admitted disapprovingly “I will play keep playing for Madrid” then he added “I will, but it will be not be fun”

Robinho- Press Conference Today At Noon

August 31, 2008

Robinho has wanted to exit from Real Madrid for most of the summer. Since the transfer saga with Cristiano Ronaldo things have gone haywire between Robinho and Real.

Robinho recently stated his desire to transfer to English club Chelsea, a deal which looked to already been done. Chelsea had already begun selling Robinho kits before they had even signed the player. That shows how much Chelsea thought they had signed the Brazilian forward.

Real’s surprise came only days after they announced they will not force Robinho to stay, and Sky Sports News reports that the former Santos star will hit back with an announcement of his own this afternoon.

This may have something to do with the fact that if Robinho left Real they would have to find a replacement in such a short space of time. And it may not be possible

it is believed Robinho will re announce his wish to join Chelsea at a press conference today at noon, but he could in fact reveal a plan to take matters into his own hands - such as buying out his own contract.

Edu ready to get thrown into the Old Firm

August 31, 2008

New Rangers signing Edu is desperate to make his debut for the club in today’s Old Firm game.

The 22 year old American has admitted that it would by far be the biggest game of his life but is keen to hit the ground running at Rangers.

“I don’t think anything I’ve played in comes that close to an Old Firm game,” he said. “The game against Mexico with the US is a big rivalry, but I still don’t think that compares.

“I think this would be the biggest game I’ve ever played in, so I’m looking forward to it, I don’t think I could have drawn it up better.

“For my first European club to be Rangers and my first potential game to be against Celtic is something you dream about.

“Now it’s a reality for me and hopefully we can win the game and everything goes well.

“When I played for the US against Argentina, there were more than 70,000 there so I’ve experienced big crowds.

“But this will still be something different again. This game is a lot more intense.”

Celtic Captain McManus: Euro Exit made us

August 31, 2008

Celtic captain Stephen McManus says that Celtic do not need to let their early European exit at the hands of Kaunas hand over them for the rest of the season.

“I remember when it was us. Everybody goes on about how disastrous it is, but for every door that shuts, another one opens. That’s when I started playing, when we got knocked out of Europe.”

“No doubt that if we had got through to the Champions League the gaffer would have had more money to spend and myself, Shaun Maloney, Craig Beattie and probably Aiden McGeady wouldn’t have got a sniff.

“So you don’t know what’s round the corner, you just need to keep working hard and take as it comes.”
