‘Rosi’ on the run, relief for Vranjes

First the positive news from training on Wednesday morning: Markus Rosenberg was able to do some light jogging today as he recovers from a muscle sinew tear to his adductor area. The Swedish striker was back in light training yesterday but today managed a three quarter hour jog at a moderate pace whilst the rest of his team mates went through their regular programme. The less positive news is that the possibility of Rosenberg making an appearance against Borussia Dortmund at the weekend is still very much in doubt.

Alongside the Swede, Jurica Vranjes is also currently carrying a knock. The Croatian midfielder suffered a thigh injury in training last week and had an MRI scan on the injured area yesterday: “We were able to confirm that there is nothing more serious but we still don’t know how long his recovery will take. Maybe just this week,” commented trainer Thomas Schaaf.

There was more positive news concerning Daniel Jensen, who has been suffering with an Achilles tendon inflammation for some time: “There is no reason why I won’t be able to play against Dortmund, even if I still do have a problem,” stated the 29 year old.
