Ribery not going anywhere
January 21, 2009
Bayern Munich have came out and categorically stated that their star midfielder Franck Ribery is going nowhere after he was linked with top clubs in both England and Italy.
French international Ribery was being touted as a possible replacement for Kaka at Ac Milan if the Brazilian had moved to Man City but even though that deal is done the rumours of their interest are still circulating.
“We stand by what we have said,” Bayern chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge was quoted. “We are not prepared to enter any discussions on Ribery no matter how high the offer.” Team manager Uli Hoeness said it would take 150 million euros “to even start thinking about it”.
