Emirates to Host Brazil v Italy Friendly

Arsenal will be presenting the friendly between two of the world’s greatest footballing nations, as Brazil and Italy face off in a February friendly to be played at the Emirates Stadium in London.

The Emirates has hosted several Brazil friendlies in the recent past, including games against Argentina (2006), Portugal (2007) and Sweden (2008).

Arsenal.com quoted Arsenal chairman Peter Hill-Wood: “Brazil and Italy both have proud and very successful football histories and we are looking forward to welcoming the teams and many Brazilian and Italian supporters to Emirates Stadium in February… Some of the world’s finest footballers will be on display and we are all very excited at what is sure to be a thrilling contest.”

The match is set for 7:45pm local time, on Tuesday, February 10, 2009.

Arsenal members will receive exclusive rights to purchase tickets first for this certain sell out, according to the team’s official website.
