PSV suffer fourth defeat of season
November 9, 2008
PSV Eindhoven’s woes continued as they suffered their fourth defeat of the season at the hands of NEC Nijmegen, who move up into fifth position in the Eredivisie.
The defending Champions are now four points behind shock leaders NAC Breda after a dismal start to the season.
Peter Wisgerhof put NEC ahead after just twelve minutes at De Goffert stadium, and PSV never managed to find the equaliser.
Joint league leaders NAC Breda visited De Graafschap and needed until the 74th minute to open the score through Amoah, who would also net a second in injury time.
AZ Alkmaar will need a win against FC Twente on Sunday to catch up with NAC.
