Trabzonspor’s advantage over Besiktas increased to four points as the Istanbul side couldn’t do better than a goalless draw at Bursaspor.
Besiktas needed a win to stay within two points from the leaders, but lacked the strength and luck to find the goal they needed.
Trabzonspor have 26 points from 11 games, while Besiktas (22 points) now share the second place with Ankaraspor.
Galatasaray meanwhile, moved into fifth place thanks to a 2-0 win over Istanbul BB. Harry Kewell and Lincoln scored for the home side.
