Rocchi hoping for Lazio stay

Tommaso Rocchi’s agent insists the Lazio captain wants to stay with the Biancocelesti.

Reports have linked Rocchi with Zenit St Petersburg, Fiorentina and Palermo in recent weeks.

“Tommaso tied himself to a lengthy deal with Lazio last year and I think he will stay put,” agent Fabio Parisi told Sportitalia last night.

“Besides, president [Claudio] Lotito has labeled him as ‘untransferable’ and the lad’s wish is to continue playing with this shirt.”

Rocchi has struggled under new boss Davide Ballardini, but his agent has backed his client to bounce back.

He added: “Tommaso is going through a difficult patch, but I am convinced he will get out of it.

“He has accepted the bench role and is always ready when called upon by the coach to give his contribution.”
