Hull City boss Phil Brown is fearful over Jimmy Bullards knee operation that he faces today in the US, as he is eager to find out if the Tigers record signing will play again this year. Bullard has flown out to America to undergo arthroscopic surgery on a cartilage tear in his right knee, with well known specialist Dr Richard Steadman carrying out the operation. Brown initially claimed Bullard may of played in Citys last two matches againgst Chelsea and Sheffield United, but claimed he ha not mislead fans. After the operation, Bullard will not be able to fly for 10 days, so will stay in America until the start of next month. The best city can hope for, is that the tear will be repaired, and Bullard will get back into first team contention before the end of the season.
