8 Interested in Newcastle

Temporary Newcastle boss Joe Kinnear has let it be known that there are 8 parties interested in buying Newcastle and that owner Mike Ashley is in talks with them.

When Kinnear was asked if he was likely to be made the permanent boss he said: “I don’t think so, to be honest, because I know for a fact Mike is talking to eight consortiums.”

“But I know he is in talks with at least eight consortiums because he has told me that himself.

“Who they are, what they are, when it will happen, there is no time-scale on it.

“I am contracted for eight games, but I assume that should due diligence and the deals go on a little bit longer, it may run into 10 or 12 games.”

Prospectuses have been sent out to seven unnamed parties detailing the financial situation of the club as of yet all the parties interested are not known all that is known is that one of the parties is from South Africa and the other Nigeria.
