Bilic cools Spurs link
October 21, 2008
There has been a host of managers all linked with Spurs over the past few days as pressure continues to increase on Ramos, the latest manager to be linked with the job is Croatia manager Slaven Bilic. Bilic has though cooled the talk of him taking over at White Hart Lane saying the Croatian players at the club are fully behind Ramos and that he has no interest in taking over from the Spanish manager.
“I’ve been linked with many clubs in England and all I can say is that it is flattering. But I have my job with Croatia and that’s all I’m concentrating on.”
Ramos has lead Spurs to their worst ever start in the league after spending heavily in the summer although he did sell his 2 star strikers and never brought in replacements of equal quality.
“The Tottenham crisis has affected them but they are behind the manager and I can’t see a problem with them on the pitch.”
“It’s hard to believe but a lot of good teams have been in the same position,”
“When something goes wrong, and then you get injures, red cards and bad luck, it’s frustrating.
“I know the situation they are but I’m sure it is going to get better. It’s a massive club and they are going to come back.”
