Bullard ruled out for the season

Jimmy Bullard will miss the rest of the season after his operation in America yesterday. The City record signing has only play 37 minutes for his new club, after having an operation on a torn cartilage last night. Bullard suffered a similair injury in 2006, which kept him out for 16 months, but returned to help his then Fulham side againgst the drop, and has played 37 games since his injury. Bullard signed for City on Friday January 23rd on a four and a half year deal, and is reportedly earning £40,000 a week. Questions have been raised on why City signed a 30 year old with his injury history, and would the medical have picked up a possible injury, after earlier the club admitted there had been a slight meniscus tear show up on his medical, but it was felt the injury could be managed.’
