Cesc says he is staying at Arsenal

Spanish international Cesc Fabregas has reconfirmed that his future lies at Arsenal after being made Arsenal captain.

Fabregas has led his Arsenal team mates to 2 succesive victories since he took the armband form William Gallas.

“I am honoured to be wearing the captain’s armband for Arsenal and I am 100% committed to this club. My future is here.”

The Euro 2008 winner is always at the centre of transfer rumours, the latest sparked by comments he made to an Italian newspaper concerning AC Milan, a club Fabregas admires.

However, the Gunners skipper – who is contracted at Emirates Stadium until 2014 – maintains he has no intentions of taking his skills anywhere else in the immediate future.

“It is true that I said I admire Milan for their rich history and the way they play football – but that is as far as the story goes,” he added.
