Wayne Rooney will travel with Manchester United to his boyhood club tomorrow as United look to continue their good run of form.

Rooney is looking for his 100th career league goal in Merseyside however he is aiming for three points for his side above another goal:

“It’s the day after my birthday this year and I’m sure it will be a nice present if I can score,” said Rooney to the clubs website.

“But I’m looking to try and get the victory for United which is important to us now we’re in a good run of form. We need to continue that.”

INJURY NEWS:

Everton: Tony Hibbert not expected to start as he continues to recover from his ankle injury. Tim Cahill is still suspended following his sending off vs. Liverpool. However Joseph Yobo and Victor Anichebe are both available.

Manchester United: Paul Scholes and Owen Hargreaves are still missing from action with knee injuries. Big name players Ronaldo, Berbatov, Ferdinand and Evra have all recovered from their respective knocks and will be ready to start.

United should continue their run of form this weekend with what should prove to be a routine victory over an Everton side that is severely lacking in confidence, something which is vital when facing a team such as United.
