Lampard – “We were happy when we heard the news”

Key Chelsea midfielder “Frank Lampard” has expressed his happiness for John Terry getting his red card dismissed from the FA. Skipper John Terry will be leading the squad against Man Utd on Sunday after the defender was sent of during the Man City Vs Chelsea match.

Lampard expressed to the press his feelings about the red card being dropped against Terry: “Of course it’s important that we have John Terry available for United,” he said. “If you have a leader like this, the captain, it’s always important that he stays on the pitch.”

“We were happy when we heard the news. It’s never easy, such a decision, but I think if you see the pictures on television you could see that maybe it was not a red card,” he added, perhaps alluding to the fact that Ricardo Carvalho was there to cover, and hence John Terry was not the last man.

“This is the sort of game that everyone gets up for, regardless of the circumstances,” the 30-year old said referring to the Battle of the Bridge on Sunday.

Chelsea will play Man Utd at home, should they win against Man City they will be a hole 9 points clear of the Premier League & The Champions League Defenders!
