Robinho eyes Premiership title

Robinho has insisted that Manchester City have nothing to fear from Liverpool on Sunday and believes the club are genuine title contenders.

City’s new Abu-Dhabi based owners have confirmed they expect to see the title at Eastlands in the future, but the Brazilian star is adamant that it is not beyond City’s reach for this season.

They face a huge test on Sunday when they host on-form Liverpool, but the club record signing is positive about the outcome.

“This is a great time to start winning games against the bigger teams so we can prove we are here to win the title,” he told The Sun.

“Do I think [winning on Sunday] is possible? Yes. Liverpool is one of the great games with their history and tradition.

“Every player loves these moments and I cannot wait.

“We are not so far from the leaders and the league has just started.”
