Spurs Win 1-0 in Asia

Tottenham and West Ham kicked off the Barclays Asia Trophy tournament, Wednesday evening. Spurs emerged on top as a late strike from Jermaine Defoe sealed the victory. Spurs showed excellent form and moved the ball superbly all across the pitch. Roman Pavlyuchenko, Tom Huddlestone, Luka Modrić, and Jamie O`Hara created brilliant chances on goal throughout the entire match, but it wasn’t until the 75th minute that Defoe found the back off the net, sealing a well deserved victory for them. Spurs will now play Hull City, as the Tigers won 3-4 on penalty kicks to advance.

Spurs will train Thursday, and then play Hull on Friday to finish up the pre-season tournament. But before they can head home, they will play in another friendly against South Asia at the Hong Kong national stadium. Then one last friendly before they kick off the new season at home against Liverpool.
