August 22, 2008
Sunderland have completed the double signing of strikers David Healy and Djibril Cisse.
The French star joins on a season long loan from Olympique Marseille while Northern Ireland striker Healy, the top scorer in the Euro 2008 qualifying campaign, joins on a three year deal from Fulham.
Keane told the club’s website, safc.com: “The signings show our ambitions and intentions.
The Sunderland manager added: “We’re delighted with the new faces we’ve brought in, we’ve been working hard all summer to significantly improve the squad.”
The duo become the Black Cats’ fifth and sixth signing of the summer following the arrivals of Teemu Tainio, Pascal Chimbonda, Steed Malbranque and El-Hadji Diouf.
