Tottenham 0 – 1 Hull City

Our inability to put away chances was the main reason this time we lost. Hull deserved at least a point, but Bent’s lob over the solid Boaz Myhill was in my opinion a really bad miss. He’s only there as a natural goalscorer who finishes well. Oh dear.

Woodgate, Modric, Bent again and Pavlyuchenko were all guilty over profligacy. The travelling support from Humberside was impressive, and there was a certain subdued resignation about the spurs fans. There were even moments were the spurs fans turned on each other, a sign of how horrible the situation really is.

Jenas was an inspirational captain, but no spurs fans are really singing his praises, as the last month has outlined his inconsistency. Our defence looked really shaky at times. I was one of the many fans who was angry when Ramos took Lennon off. We didn’t have much idea after that. Great goal from Geovanni though.

I really think the language barrier is one of the main reasons Juande is struggling. It’s going to be a very tough international break.
