Two out, one in at Newcastle?

Latest transfer gossip indicates that Newcastle may be about to sell James Milner. Kevin Keegan and the Newcastle board are apparently not seeing eye to eye(Quel surprise), and Milner could go for £10 million, Liverpool about to make a bid so say the media. Let’s not let this happen, Milner’s one of the most talented youngsters in England, we can’t afford to sell him, the squad’s threadbare as it is.

Charles N’Zogbia is the second name to be linked with a move away, though Keegan has states he’s confident of keeping the young Frenchman. Yay. N’Zogbia would get first team football I’d imagine, especially seeing as KK tried to offload Damien Duff to West Ham so he could get Anton Ferdinand.

It’s not all bad though, as The Guardian report that Newcastle are about to make a move for former Arsenal striker Jose Antonio Reyes. We were linked with him last year I seem to remember, but nothing came of it. Whether the board are happy to finance the deal remains to be seen, but if they trot out the old ‘sell before you can buy’ rubbish, I won’t be best pleased.

In final good news, Freddy Shepherd failed in his bid to buy Real Mallorca.

Hah.
