Fulham striker Bobby Zamora has been on a good run of form recently but he is set to be out for a spell after suffering a suspected dislocated shoulder in his sides defeat to Stock last night.
“It is a dislocation – I don’t know whether it is a collar bone or a shoulder but either way it is a bad injury,” said Fulham boss Roy Hodgson.
“It’s very disappointing because he has been playing very well.”
He added: “It is a very expensive day for us. We were forced to replace Brede Hangeland at half-time with a recurrence of his knee injury and we lost Zamora early in the second half. We have also lost the game.
“We’ve been unlucky. We lost John Pantsil to a cruciate knee ligament injury in the last league game. We’re not being fortunate on the injury front this season.”
Fulham will now eagerly await the results of a scan to determine how long Zamora will be absent for, with Hodgson bracing himself for bad news.
