Bruce Denies Boyd Interest

Wigan Boss, Steve Bruce, has refuted claims that the Latics are poised to make a move for Rangers’ striker Kris Boyd. Boyd, whose proposed move to Birmingham City fell through after the player failed to agree personal terms with the Midlands club, has been the subject of much speculation since the January transfer window opened.

Bruce was surprised to be linked with the Rangers’ hitman: “We’ve heard all the tittle-tattle. I’ve been told this morning I’ve been linked with Kris Boyd at Rangers… It is the first I’ve known about it. I read he was in Birmingham yesterday so perhaps they’ve got me mixed up and still think I’m the Birmingham manager.”
