Burley To Assess Fleck

Scotland manager, George Burley, has indicated that he would have no problems with including Rangers’ youngster, John Fleck, in his squad to face Holland in next month’s World Cup Qualifier.

Fleck, who has recently burst onto the scene at Ibrox with some impressive displays, has been hailed by many as Scotland’s answer to Wayne Rooney.

The 17-year-old has made only five first-teamĀ appearances for Walter Smith’s men this campaign, but Burley would have no hesitations in calling up Fleck should he continue to perform admirably for the Ibrox outfit:

“I have always said that if you are good enough, you are old enough. I’m very excited about young John.”

The Scotland boss will run the rule over Rangers’ latest prodigy in the Old Firm clash on Sunday where the Ibrox men have the opportunity to leapfrog Celtic at the top of the SPL should they ensure victory.
