Rothen Signs Up At Ibrox

Rangers have finalised a deal to capture Paris St.Germain’s , Jerome Rothen, on a season-long loan. The left-sided winger, who has made 13 appearances for the French national side, is the first player to join the Govan club in over a year, with Walter Smith eager to add to his pool as they aim to repeat their domestic success of last season and launch an assault on Europe.

Rothen, who signed for PSG in 2004 for €11million, was part of the Monaco squad who reached the final of the Champions League in season 2003/2004 only to lose to a Jose Mourinho-led FC Porto 3-0. He has made 139 appearances for the French Ligue 1 side and found the net on 10 occasions.
