Camacho is new Osasuna coach

Osasuna have moved swiftly following the depature of Jose Angel Ziganda as manager by naming former Spain boss Jose Antonio Camacho as their new coach.

Osasuna said in a statement that an agreement between Camacho and the club “had been made on Monday evening and Camacho would be the new coach until June 2009.”

They currently sit in 16th place in the Primera Liga, having amassed just four points from their opening six league matches and have yet to record a victory so far this season.

Ziganda, who arrived at the club in 2006, was the second Spanish top flight coach to be sacked this season following Manolo Zambrano’s axing by Recreativo Huelva last week.
