Nou Move For Toure
January 13, 2009
Yaya Toure will stay at Barcelona for the time being despite reports linking the Ivory Coast International with a move to the English Premiership. The former Monaco midfielder, who moved to La Liga in 2007, has outlined his desire to remain at Camp Nou, although, he has admitted, that he is overwhelmed by the reported interest.
The player’s agent, Dimitri Seluk, confirmed that Toure would be staying at Barca for now but he has refused to rule out the possibility of a summer move for his client: “My player will stay at Barcelona. He won’t move to another club in January…He loves the club and wants to stay for the foreseeable future. But he has many offers and in June the club might not refuse one of the offers.”
It is believed that an increase in salary could tempt Toure to leave Barcelona at the end of this year’s campaign. Seluk explained: “There are many clubs who are willing to pay him more, so we will see at the end of the season.”

Got something to say?

I know your trying to be clever with your headline but as Nou as pronounced like ‘new’ your play on words makes no sense. It sounds like Toure is moving to Barcelona not renewing a contract.
