Real deals keep rolling in

Real Madrid’s 09/10 season squad’s face keeps changing, with yet another addition and more linked players.

Spain International Raul Albiol has completed his move from cash strapped Valencia, for a fee of €15m and will likely take the los Merengues number 5 shirt.

The 23 year-old started his career with Valencia in 2003 when he joined their B side, and the following year went on-loan to Getafe, but missed half of the season due to injuries sustained in a car crash actually on his way to join his new loan team.
Albiol had since become an important 1st team player for los Che gaining European experience as well as International caps totaling 15 to date.

The centre back who can also play a defensive midfielder has been touted as potentially the best Spanish defender, and had been linked with moves to England with Liverpool and Aston Villa, but he will now join up with the New faces of Kaka, Cristiano Ronaldo and Ezequiel Garay in Real’s new looking squad.

The next arrival could be anyone and will undoubtably be worth a euro or two; - Karim Benzema? Franck Ribery? David Villa?
Regardless of who comes in, there will be players leaving the Bernabéu and it is apparently the Dutch contingent that are the least wanted, Roysten Drenthe is wanted in Italy and England, while Ruud van Nistelrooy has been talked about in the press. The likes of Sneijder, Robben, van der Vaart and possibly even relative new-boy Klaas-Jan Huntelaar would be allowed to leave for the right prices, expect the Serie A and Premier League teams to come sniffing if not atleast La Liga’s bridesmaids.
