Sevilla looking to hang on to Fabiano

Luis Fabiano is constantly linked with moves away from the club with Manchester City said to be the latest team interested in the Brazilian striker.

Manchester City are said to be preparing a £25miilion bid for the player in January to try to bolster their strike force but Sevilla president Jose Del Nido says he will knock back any bids for is star man.

“We have already discarded this opportunity because we feel that it will damage the team.

“We are involved in a lot of competitions and at the moment we do not want to lose such an important player.

“We are not interested in the money. I will not change my mind.

“Today Sevilla are not a selling club and the idea of winning matches is more important to us than money.

“The player and the agent have been told his. But the situation could be completely different in the summer.”
