Abramovich- ‘take the offer, or there is no deal’

August 27, 2008

It looks as if the Robinho altercation might have a final revival before the transfer window closes.

Although despite Robinho’s agent: Wagner Ribeiro said that a deal had been struck between Chelsea and Real, It seems Real are wanting to hold out and squeeze as much money as they can out of the deal.

Riberiro alleged that Chelsea made a bid of €33 million to Real for Robinho, but Real have not officially announced whether they are accepting the bid or not.

Riberiro told the press: “The deal is about to be reached. Robinho’s cycle in Spain has come to an end and he is looking forward to a new project.”

Now, Marca has reported that Abramovich may be willing to go as high as €37 million.
Roman Abramovich (Chelsea Owner), speaking on the radio, has also given this message to Madrid: “Either they take the offer, or there is no deal.”

Even at that amount, it will be one of the biggest transfers of the year and if Madrid do not let him go now, his value is expected to drop by more than half come next season and onwards, Real should sell him now and cut there losses while they have the chance.
