Juventus president Giovanni Gigli has called reports linking Buffon with a move to Manchester City as “fantasy football”.
After Man City’s takeover they have come out claiming they are going to sign some of the best players in the world but Juventus have said they would never sell their star keeper not for any amount of money.
“It’s fantasy football, This summer there was another case of fantasy football, to be precise the story of David Trezeguet to Barcelona. That was fantasy football, and this is the same.”
“Buffon’s price doesn’t interest me, what interests me is to have him with us as a man, as a sportsman and as a lynchpin at Juventus.
“And I am happy that he helped Italy beat Cyprus.”
