Robinho dreams of Blues switch

Just days after Robinho’s agent, Wagner Ribeiro ruled of the possibility of a Robinho move to Chelsea. Robinho has today stated that all that’s needed is Madrid’s assent for a move to go through. What’s more, it’s a transfer that he wants.

The player stated today: “I dream of playing in the Premier League. Chelsea have a great squad, a great team, and they’ve made an offer that’s great for both me and Real Madrid.

“I have nothing against my current team, to whom I’m very grateful, but at this point my goal is to leave here and I hope that everything will be resolved as soon as possible.”

This may come as a complete shock to the Real Madrid Ramon Calderon stating earlier that they were not going to release or sell Robinho.

Real Madrid president Ramon Calderon has hinted wantaway forward Robinho will have to buy himself out of his contract to facilitate a move to Chelsea.

Calderon said in an interview with Spanish radio station Cadena Ser: “It’s not necessarily that he will have to pay the 150 million euros (buyout fee). He would end his contract but the courts will decide what he has to pay.”

He added: “No player will be kept here against their will. This does not mean that Madrid will not defend the interests of the club,”

“I can tell you that Madrid are not going to transfer Robinho. We are not going to sell him. If he wants to go, then he should go now. Telling the press about it is not the right way to do things,”
