Roma chasing Podolski

German International Lucas Podolski has been linked with a host of clubs over the summer after falling out of favour at Bayern Munich but Roma now look to be at the head of the queue.

“I have heard that Roma are interested in me, but I have had no contact with the Giallorossi,”

“Francesco Totti is a great player and he showed incredible strength to come back for the 2006 World Cup after his injury.

“It really wouldn’t be bad to play alongside Totti. An adventure in Italy would be nice and Luca Toni has always told me I would do well there and improve as a player.”

Juventus are also interested in the 23 year-old but at the moment it looks like he will be puling on a Roma shirt before the end of the month.
