Rovers reject new Roque bid

Manchester City have confirmed that they have had yet another bid for Blackburn striker Roque Santa Cruz rejected. The Paraguayian international has made no secret of his desire to link up with his former boss Mark Hughes at Eastlands, however Rovers boss Sam Allardyce seems reluctant to let him leave despite rumours linking the club with Russian striker Pavel Pogrebnyak. This latest offer is likely to be City’s last with the transfer deadline looming.
