Tottenham chasing Finnan

Espanyol player Steve Finnan is being lined up for a loan move by Tottenham . Spurs are keen to add to their ranks during the January transfer window but many of their targets are being priced out of moves at present.

The 32 year old Republic of Ireland International would be a welcomed addition to a team that have serious injury problems in defence with first choice right-back Alan Hutton currently sitting on the sidelines with another injury.

It is said that negotiations between Spurs and Espanyol are at an advanced stage and they hope to announce a deal soon.
