United look at new Ole
November 17, 2008
Manchester United have reportedly asked Norwegian Moa Abdellaoue to train with them for a short period, while the season is closed in Norway.

The 23-year-old, Norwegian born but with Moroccan parentage, has been branded as the ‘new’ Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, and this year helped his club - Vålerenga, to the Norwegian Cup Final.
Scouts representing and working for a number of English clubs were in attendance at the final when Abdellaoue scored a superb brace which has now seen the interest in the striker intensify.
United have seemingly jumped the queue in the race for his signature, with the international forward not being able to make a switch until January. The Red Devils appear to have stolen the march on it’s competitors, as it’s been reported that Jim Solbakken, Solskjaer’s agent, has helped to broker the move.
Dutch side Groningen had been rumoured to be planning a £3m - £3.5m bid in the winter transfer window.
Abdellaoue has played for Skeid and Vålerenga scoring 50 goals in 103 games.
